Programs and curriculum
What approach to learning do you follow?
We use an emergent, play-based approach guided by Ontario’s How Does Learning Happen? framework. Activities are shaped by children’s interests, questions, and development.
How do you prepare children for kindergarten?
Our preschool program supports early literacy, problem-solving, independence, communication, and social-emotional development through play and hands-on learning.
What are your educator-to-child ratios?
Our toddler program has one educator for every five children, while our preschool program has one educator for every eight children.
Nutrition & meals
Are meals and snacks included?
Yes. Nutritious meals and snacks are prepared on site and provided throughout the day.
Do you accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions?
We work closely with families to review food allergies and dietary needs. Contact us to discuss your child’s specific requirements before enrolment.
How are meals planned?
Our menus are designed to provide balanced, age-appropriate meals and snacks that support children’s energy, growth, and learning.
Health and Safety
What happens if my child is sick?
Families should keep children home when they are unwell. When a child can return depends on their symptoms, our illness policy, and applicable public health guidance.
What safety measures are in place?
Our centre maintains secure entrances and exits, supervised indoor and outdoor play areas, clear emergency procedures, and trained educators.
Are educators trained in first aid?
Yes. Our educators maintain required Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification.
Communication and families
How do you keep parents updated?
Our educators share important updates during drop-off and pickup, including information about meals, rest, activities, and your child’s day. This keeps families informed while allowing educators to remain present and engaged with the children.
Can parents and guardians visit during the day?
Visits can be arranged with the centre in advance. To protect children’s routines, safety, and privacy, families cannot drop in or remain in classrooms throughout the day. Parents and guardians may pick up their child early when needed by notifying the centre.
Can I tour the centre before enrolling?
Absolutely. We encourage families to tour the centre, explore our classrooms, and meet members of our team before enrolling. Contact us to arrange a visit.
